Charlotte Observer: Sip of the week

Proshyan pomegranate wine, Armenia

Packed with antioxidants, pomegranates may seem the latest food fashion. But they're nothing new in Armenia, where both pomegranates and wine-making date back thousands of years. Charlotte-based Ararat Import/Export is making sure it's available all over, including Harris Teeter, The Wine Shop, NoFo on Liz, Mike's Discount Beverage, Laurel Market South and Talley's
